Clock Opera at YOYO, Notting Hill Arts Club

Bring some photo id, your on the guest list but they like to be careful.

Welcome to YOYO, venue for some pretty high profile acts in the past and now venue for Clock Opera, not once but twice in ten days. Last week on the 21st of July they were with Marina and the Diamonds and last night they were with GhostCat who headlined the evening with some raucous rock that had the audience joining in. Clock Opera at 93 Feet East

They say it is ‘frenetic, bleep ridden, synth rock’ (TimeOut) but I say its just a great night out listening to raw creativity.
Guy Connelly and the Clock Opera crew were out again last night (10 June) at 83 Feet East along with Magic & Fur, A.Human and Dead Monroe.
I got there too late for the last two acts, due to crawling around on a gantry photographing Tangled Feet, but did catch Magic & Fur who really do need to be watched in the future too. Continue reading

Party Ben – This Way To Party

He’s coming to Europe for the Volt Festival in July and if that wasn’t good enough Party Ben has put together a new long mix ‘ to celebrate…life’.

Party Ben, for those that havent heard of him (and where have you been?) is one of the biggest figures on the mashup scene.

A resident DJ at Bootie in SF and also admired by Chris Moyles here in the UK he has been responsible for such classic mashups as Every Car You Chase by Snow Police, American Idiot by Dean Gray and many many more. Continue reading
