Nabokov Arts Club, Village Underground, Shoreditch.
An evening of entertainment featuring a host of acts from Luke Wirght compering through performance poetry from Josh Idehen, live DJ sets, comedy and theatre. But most impressive was set by Clock Opera which intertwined with the world premiere of Showtime by Tangled Feet.

Clock Opera, Guy, Nick, Andy and Che, were at Oh Inverted World at the Hoxton Bar and Kitchen on a playbill that featured Gaggle, So Say So and La Shark along with DJ sets as well.

Over the last year I have been following the work of theatre company Tangled Feet as they workshopped, developed and then performed their latest show – Home to audiences around the country.
Those of you who may have been lucky enough to have seen the show will know what an amazing piece of theatre it is and those who haven’t may have missed out on the live aspects but will now be bale to appreciate some of what the show means through the newly published book – Home – Tangled Feet …

Take one great festival, take one 40th anniversary celebration and take one great mashup artist and mix them together.
What you get is Bootstock a concept album put together by DJ Zebra for the 40th anniversary celebrations of the grand daddy of all festivals, Woodstock.
Using a mix of studio recordings, live festival recordings and the Woodstock movie, DJ Zebra has put together what is probably one best mashup concept albums of the year, and a close contender with The Kleptones’ 24 Hours for my personal favourite mashup concept of all time.

Christoph Rehage decided in 2007 to walk from Beijing to Germany.
Going on foot for 4500 km he didn’t make it to Germany but stopped a little short of his target, making it passed the Gobi Desert before deciding to stop the journey for now.
He did, however, manage to have some great experiences on the way and blogged about them on his website (The Longest Way ).
He also posted up an inspirational video of his journey which can be seen below and shows how he changed as the journey went on.

Bring some photo id, your on the guest list but they like to be careful.
Welcome to YOYO, venue for some pretty high profile acts in the past and now venue for Clock Opera, not once but twice in ten days. Last week on the 21st of July they were with Marina and the Diamonds and last night they were with GhostCat who headlined the evening with some raucous rock that had the audience joining in.

A rare chance to see some of UK comics history at the Illustration Cupboard in Bury Street, St James where work by the legendary Kevin O’Neill is on display and available for purchase.
The exhibition runs from 14 July to 8 August and there are some real gems to see.
The launch on 14 July with fizzy drinks and chocolate covered strawberries was attended by a veritable aristocracy of the British comic scene surrounded by Kevin’s artwork from Marshall Law, 2000 AD, Arzach and one piece of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen artwork, which was sadly already sold by the time the exhibition opened, (bad news for us but good for Kevin I am sure).

The videos can be seen over on the Nokia Conversations website but I’ve added them here from the YouTube link so that you can admire them without leaving this site.
