A quick flit over to Outer Mongolia took in an even quicker trip into Beijing and the opportunity to do some HDR photography along the way.

Beijing really is quite quiet, the birds were really not quite there and it was hot, very hot. Meanwhile Outer Mongolia was an eye opener – former Soviet, now independent. Large parts of the population still living in gers (or yurts as they are called in the West) and a massive statute of Chingis Khaan on a horse in the middle of nowhere.
