Home – Tangled Feet – The Book Now Available
Over the last year I have been following the work of theatre company Tangled Feet as they workshopped, developed and then performed their latest show - Home to audiences around the country.
Those of you who may have been lucky enough to have seen the show will know what an amazing piece of theatre it is and those who haven’t may have missed out on the live aspects but will now be bale to appreciate some of what the show means through the newly published book – Home – Tangled Feet by Kamal Prashar, Nathan Curry and Kat Joyce.
This 52 page A5 sized book with card cover is colour throughout and details/develops on the theme of Home from the viewpoint of the performers, company members and audiences for the show, as well as images that have been captured during rehearsals, shows and workshops.
The show was accompanied by a great sound track created by Guy Connelly and Clock Opera which only serves to enhance the emotional mood that the performances deliver.
Personally it has been great to watch the show develop as it has been performed at Latitude, Camp Bestival, Winchester Hat Fair, The Arc in Stockton, Exeter, London Mela, Paradise Gardens and many more places. To have the chance to document this process has also been a great opportunity to observe the creative process close at hand as ideas are tried, practiced and then discarded in favour of other ideas until finally the show is complete in the Tangled Feet sense of things.
I will give a little plug for myself in this since the photography is mainly mine but even if were not then I would still reccomend the book to you since it gives you a chance to think about what Home means to you as well. Mediated through the comments and images maybe you will come to a better understanding of what Home means or maybe you already have a very clear idea.
The book has been on sale during the shows that Tangled Feet have done, most recently at Southwark Playhouse but now that the season is over there is a chance to get the book online from the Tangled Feet website for a very modest price of £6 (this includes postage and packing) and all profits from the sale of the book will be going to Shelter – the homeless charity which does so much to provide a Home for others.
Buy the book – Home – Tangled Feet by Kamal Prashar, Nathan Curry and Kat Joyce.
Meantime here is a preview of the type of images that you will find in the book.
