YOUR Video – A practical guide to planning and creating effective videos

In consultation with community groups, Our Video has developed an accessible “Toolkit” through which communities can produce their own video and multi media content, at low cost and distribute it across the internet. This project brings together community media and recent digital technology developments in a project that is explicitly designed to systematise the approach and make it available as a generic toolkit. THe toolkit is now available to download from the home page and is free to copy under the creative commons not for profit license.

The toolkit enables communities to generate content and use broadband with minimal support. The project was initiated by the National Computing Centre (NCC, www.ncc.co.uk) with funding from the North West development Agency and the EU. It is now being conintued by Community Arts North West.Furthermore the legacy of the project is the equipment bought by it for the community groups is freely available for loan from them.
