Batman 5 and Christopher Nolan

Well it seems that things get more and more advanced with the prospective Christopher Nolan Batman movie.

Not too long ago Variety was reporting that Nolan (Memento, Insomnia, The Following) had been teamed with David Goyer (Blade, Blade 2 and director of forthcoming sequel flick Blade 3).

Now Super Hero Hype (www.superherohype.com) ‘reporter’ “Shawn” reports that he saw Christpopher Nolan and David Borneaz (Buffy, Angel) near the Sanamluang Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard on Monday (7 April). The net is abuzz with rumours that David may be first line candidate for Bats in the flick (as yet untitled).

Elsehwere votes are coming in for the fanboy’s choice – Borneaz has long been a fave along with Christain Bale (American Psycho) and Nolan old hand Guy Pierce (Memento, LA Confidential).

Time will tell who plays the lead and what villains are chosen and the title and the plot and…..

the list goes on and on…..

stay posted Batfans.

Batman on Film (BOF): “Tell your readers that they should expect something completely different from what they have seen previously or what has been rumored. And don’t expect any villians from the previous four films to be in this one; i.e. The Joker. I don’t think Nolan wants to just remake Bat89. By not having The Joker, Riddler, Penguin, etc. in his film, he will avoid the enevitable comparisons to the previous four films. Word on the street is that Chris likes The Scarecrow for this one. But don’t bet the house on it. Just expect something different and very good from Nolan and Goyer. And hiring Goyer was a VERY good thing.”
