iBIZ Technology Corp. Releases Industrys First FM Radio SD Card for PDA Handhel

Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas, Nevada, January 9th iBIZ Technology Corp. today announced the PDA industry's first Secure Digital Expansion Card (SD), FM radio for PDAs. The Pocket Radio is viewable at http://www.ibizcorp.com/pocketradio.html .

The Pocket Radio SD Card literally converts a standard PDA with an SD expansion slot into a high quality FM tuner. Feature rich, the software provides up to eighteen different preset stations, search and seek functions allow the user to tune to a desired frequency/station and then hold down one of the preset buttons to set a station into one of the presets.

The Pocket Radio is multitasking so users can perform other PDA functions while the music plays on. It also has the ability to output the signal to either headphones or external speakers. Handheld computer users with an SD card slot can now listen to local FM radio stations anytime, anywhere while performing other tasks on the handheld simultaneously."

The review mentioned the need for the Secure Digital (SD) version since the SD version has a much broader market appeal than the Pocket Radio Compact Flash expansion card as most mid priced to high end PDAs feature an SD card slot.
